HELP WANTED! – Be a Trail Maintainer!
• A Trail Maintainer position open in Baxter State Park.
Section is 4.3 miles between the Park’s Tote Road entrance to Katahdin Stream Campground and the High Water Cut off Trail along Nesowadnehunk Stream. Maintainer is also responsible for the side trails to Toll Dam, Little and Big Niagara Falls all .1 miles in length.
• Trail Maintainer needed between Rainbow Mt. Side Trail & Rainbow Ledges along beautiful Rainbow Lake in the 100 Mile Wilderness.
The section is 3.5 miles in length and includes the 0.5 side trail to Beaver Pond and 0.75 side trail to Rainbow Mt. This section is one of the more remote sections of the AT requiring hiking in from Abol Bridge or a side trail at Hurd Pond from the North. The section can be reached from mile 35 on the Golden Road or from State Land north of Nahmakanta Lake. Section is on MATC Map #1.
